Great Alaskan Holidays owns its entire fleet of modern Winnebago motor homes. While other rental fleets in Alaska contain third-party-owned "Leaseback" motorhomes, a hodge podge of different makes, models, and equipment, our entire motorhome fleet is owned by Great Alaskan Holidays.
To you, this means that the floor plan you select from this web page is the floor plan you will get at pick up. Additionally, because we own the entire fleet, you are assured of a consistent, high quality product for your rental. This is a big advantage over other rental companies that, when you arrive for pick up, surprise you with a floor plan that is not the one you reserved.
Our 22', 25' and 28'S sizes have 6 (six) seatbelts and our 31's and 32'S sizes have 7 (seven) seat belts for that extra passenger.
We are extremely proud that Great Alaskan Holidays is one of only three companies in Alaska, and the only motorhome rental company, that has been awarded and maintained the prestigious status of a Ford Warranty Station. With Ford Factory training, the latest diagnostic equipment and online Ford access, our technicians give each vehicle a thorough 41-point maintenance check before every rental. From day one we have maintained the vehicles to Ford's exacting specifications, something that can't be guaranteed with a third-party-owned, drop off Leaseback fleet.
Additionally, we are an authorized Winnebago service center as well as an authorized Onan generator service center.
Our motorhomes are custom built to our strict specifications by Winnebago Industries, Inc. the world's largest manufacturer of motorhomes. We use the reliable Ford chassis featuring V-10 Triton engine, automatic transmission, cab power windows and door locks, power steering, power brakes, and tilt steering. Each motorhome is fully self-contained and equipped with an Onan 120 volt power generator, roof air conditioner, electronic ignition propane furnace, automatic refrigerator/freezer, multiple burner cook top, propane oven, microwave oven, electronic ignition hot water heater, hot and cold running water, toilet, shower, dual battery system (one automotive, two large, deep-cycle, golf cart type coach batteries), propane leak detector, carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, AC/DC Color TV/DVD player, and AM/FM Radio/CD player.
