Drivers and Insurance Insurance coverage is included in the rental rate with a $1,000 deductible for comprehensive and a $1,500 deductible for collision. Coverage includes collision, comprehensive, bodily injury/liability, and uninsured motorist. At the time of rental, vehicle drivers must be 25 years of age or older and must have a valid driver's license issued from their state or country of residence. If the license is in a language other than English, the driver must also possess an International Driver's Permit. The second driver is complimentary. Up to 2 additional drivers can be added at $2.50 each per rental day. Canadian Customs does not allow a Canadian resident to drive a U.S. owned vehicle across the border from the U.S. into Canada. Authorized drivers may be asked to sign a driving record addendum or be subject to a computerized Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) check. Great Alaskan Holidays will rely on the information provided from the electronic DMV verification and/or from the driving record addendum to determine if the renter/authorized driver is qualified to rent/operate the vehicle. Great Alaskan Holidays will not rent to anyone whose driving record reflects any of the above violations. Great Alaskan Holidays reserves the right to change, add to, and/or modify any or all of these conditions without any prior notification. If the renter/authorized driver provides false or misleading information, liability protection for the customer will be voided. Additionally, the customer will be responsible for any damage to the rental vehicle, property damage to others, personal injury to themselves and personal liability to others. |
